Volunteer Experience

The Volunteer Experience is different for everyone. Some of us are drawn to our interactions with the children, others to the experience of building with rudimentary tools and conversing in Spanish with the masons. Others are in awe of the volcanoes, the geography or the Maya culture.  But one thing we all have in common is that the experience so is memorable that our outlook on life and the world is never the same.

Janice Thomas has travelled to Guatemala numerous times as a tourist and volunteer. She shares her unique perspective of her visits.
