The volunteer experience for those who travel to Guatemala is different for everyone. Some of us are drawn to our interactions with the children, others to the experience of building with rudimentary tools and conversing in Spanish with the masons. Others are in awe of the volcanoes, the geography or the Maya culture. But one thing we all have in common is that the experience so is memorable that our outlook on life and the world is never the same.
Many of our volunteers have a gift for writing and have shared their thoughts and experiences of Guatemala in blogs. They have given us permission to share their work here.
