GSP has built improved cooking stoves with CEDEC (Centro de Estudios para el Desarrrollo y la Cooperación) since 1999 when Tom Clarke worked with Jose Yac to build the first 6 stoves.
AMI
Clara Colop and her daughter Ishim Yac are the coordinators of the Asociación de Mujeres Ixchel, a small non-profit organization that serves Maya families, mainly in the western highlands Departments of Sololá, Totonicapán and Quetzaltenango.
AMMID
Contact between AMMID (Asociación Maya Mam de Investigacion y Desarrollo) and the GSP was initiated by US Peace Corps worker Justin Kohl in 2011.
