Tom was well received but felt a little overshadowed by the ensuing strike by teachers at the college this year.

Tom advised group that he and Phill will be transferring funds to Guatemala to build 100 stoves tomorrow.
CEDEC will receive funds to build 50 “improved design” stoves.
AMMID will receive funds to build 50 traditional design stoves.
It will prove interesting to see how well accepted the improved design stoves are by the Maya ladies during stove documenting this year and just what comments the users of the stoves may have.

Our own Phill Brackenbury is this year’s deserving recipient of the Perth Medal! The award was founded by the Perth Rotary club in 1996, and is presented annually to a worthy recipient nominated for their contribution in the community. We all know Phill to be the first to volunteer for whatever is required – it’s nice to see your efforts recognized 🙂 From all of us at the GSP, congratulations Phill !!

Meeting adjourned 07:20 moved by Wayne and seconded by Janet.
Thanks to all who attended and took part in this meeting!
